We lucked out! Our Saturday-night here turned out to be a terrific bargain-stay, thanks to Travel online. However, even without the deep-price discount, this two-star Day's Inn is worth serious consideration. Although located on La Crosse's northside, a few miles from downtown, the drive to the Mississippi River-town's historic center is direct and easy, given the city's relatively small size. Staff here proved to be extraordinarily friendly and helpful, while our room was both well-appointed and clean, positioned in a quiet, restful wing of a huge property. The complex's entrance and lobby are undergoing a "grand" renovation on the heels of what appears to be a thorough remodeling of the rooms. Breakfast is not included in the tab but there is a restaurant on site (which we didn't sample). Singularly convenient for air-travelers to La Crosse and for those arriving by car on Interstate 90 from the east or west, we recommend this property as an excellent budget choice.

Older hotel, but exceptionally clean and well kept. It was a good stay in a convenient location. The pool and hot tub were well maintained, and most importantly, clean. It's not plush but it is good, clean, affordable place to sleep.

Pool was a big draw, largest in area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. New beds. Meeting room was brand new. Bar was newer and great deals. Staff handled everything professionaly and friendly. Free Wi-Fi but they had a computer and printer in lobby so family can do two things at the same time. Very good choice.

Hotel of last resort. Great if you are looking at price alone. Our room was left open all day after they cleaned. Got a sorry from manager of housekeeping. Renovation was done on the cheap. It has long since had it's day in the sun. Big property, big disappointment.

We stayed over Sunday night on Memeoriial day weekend, the place was almost completely empty. The room was nice except for the bed. The matress on one bed had a big dip in the middle and the other one sloped to the center. Was not a very good rest. They have a very nice large pool, that is nine feet deep. They do not have a continental breakfast, but they give you half price on the breakfast buffet at the Cafe that is attached to the motel. would rather have a continental breakfast other than that, if traveling with children, this is not a good way to go.
