disappointment!!!
08/17/2010Hotel smelled moldy, rooms smelled moldy and one of them (we were moved twice) had water damage on the ceiling and hair on the sink when we walked ...
HOTEL SMELLED MOLDY, ROOMS SMELLED MOLDY AND ONE OF THEM (WE WERE MOVED TWICE) HAD WATER DAMAGE ON THE CEILING AND HAIR ON THE SINK WHEN WE WALKED IN THE DOOR. IT WAS EXTREMELY WARM WEATHER WHILE WE WERE THERE AND THE A/C IN THE ROOMS WE WERE IN WAS HORRIBLE. IT SEEMED LIKE JUST THE FANS WERE WORKING AS THE HUMIDITY IN THE ROOM WAS EXTREMELY NOTICEABLE. TRIED TO LEAVE AFTER 1ST NIGHT AFTER NOT MUCH SLEEP DUE TO THE ROOM BEING WARM. WAS UNABLE TO GET OUT OF THE RESERVATION DUE TO PREPAYMENT. AFTER CHECKING OUT THE HOTEL DID GIVE US A * DOLLAR CREDIT BUT IT WOULD NOT MAKE ME GO BACK THERE AGAIN. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

We had a very nice room with a river view(nice sunsets). Has been remodeled with modern furnishings and new mattresses. My 7 year old loved the pool area and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I will start off by saying the ONLY good thing about this hotel...our 4 yr. old loved the "kiddie" pool. That's it! The pool area (and water) was very cold! AND there are signs all around the pool area that say "no smoking" BUT the poolside rooms are mainly smoking...so when guests who are smokers open their doors, everything around the pool smells like smoke! Disgusting! We booked a "riverview"..(which was a complete joke) There are no "riverview" rooms! Our view was of the parking lot and trailer park across the road! The hotel and rooms are EXTREMELY outdated and tasteless!! Our room door looked like at one time it had been broken in too,..and had 4 locks on it! (with a 3" crack under the door!) We had dirty duvets on our beds, a lampshade falling apart, and a crappy TV. But the kicker is,..immediately after we checked in, our 4 yr. old was excited to go to the pool area and was running around our room (typical of a 4 yr old,..) We got a call from the front desk saying we had a complaint from someone downstairs. Apparently, we were too loud,...at 2:00 in the afternoon...on a Saturday.... when there were 100's of kids and parents at this hotel/waterpark. "Quiet hours" begin at 10pm.... Then when the security man came to deliver our microwave (that we had to pay nightly for) he told me this complaint was going against our records... my husband was furious needless to say. NEVER staying at this hotel again!!!!!

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Close to restaurants and shopping. The best part is the pool area. The activity pool for the younger children is great. Keeps them busy for hours! The slide is a hit as well. Rooms are nothing special but if you have kids, you won't see much of the room anyway. Just a super hotel that we love to stay at at least twice a year.
